Elevate Your Physical Therapy Career with Our Professional Development and Mentorship Program
At our clinic, we believe that standards exist not to limit performance but to provide a strong foundation for growth. Our goal is to transform our associate practitioners into elite therapists as fast as humanly possible.
Unlike other companies that use the term “mentorship” loosely, our approach is clear and focused. Often, elsewhere, mentorship becomes more about billing and efficiency rather than clinical excellence. We prioritize transparency, ensuring our new teammates understand exactly what’s required. Our ethos is simple: “Get sharp, and stay sharp.”
The Whetstone Program: Intensive Development for New Teammates
Whether you’re a new graduate or transitioning from another company, our Whetstone program offers a comprehensive 6-month training period. This program includes:
- Curated Content: 6 months of tailored material from FAAOMPT/OCS practitioners, featuring podcasts, lectures, and manual therapy labs, all segmented by body regions to thoroughly cover the PT evaluation process.
- Mentorship Meetings: Monthly one-on-one sessions with a mentor to discuss and deepen understanding of the content.
- Topic-Specific Meetings: Regular discussions with mentors on various subjects to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Continuing Education: Commitment to a continuing education track by the end of the program, with strong encouragement to attend 1-2 hosted courses per year.
- Expert Availability: Regular access to Residency/Fellowship trained practitioners for case support.
The 400 Grit Program: Continuous Professional Refinement
After completing the Whetstone program, practitioners stay refined by transitioning into the 400 Grit program, which focuses on ongoing development:
- Lunch Meetings: Bi-monthly sessions covering specialty topics, the latest evidence, and case studies submitted by PTs.
- Manual Therapy Meetings: At least one meeting per month to hone special skills.
- Annual Checkouts: Yearly assessments to ensure manual therapy skills remain sharp and to critique a non-post-operative Physical Therapy Evaluation, ensuring high-quality thought processes.
- Continuing Education: Execution of a self-selected continuing education track with encouragement to attend 1-2 hosted courses per year.
- Expert Support: Continued access to Residency/Fellowship trained practitioners for case consultations.
